A path out of Microsoft Publisher

Keep the page. Keep what’s editable.

Choose what matters for each publication. Rescue preserves original assets, flags features that may shift, and prepares the right format for the next program.

Font binaries stay on this device and are never uploaded. Matching TTF/OTF files can be loaded for local rendering; PDF embedding separately requires cleared rights.

SVG, PDF, and PowerPoint are the primary handoff formats. Word is an optional text-first bridge; choosing page artwork creates an image-only Word document. After conversion, local download links remain available below with the mapped-native preservation result.

Preservation map

One file rarely does every job well.

Rescue pairs a faithful PDF and vector SVG with a raster-backed PowerPoint proof; Faithful priority keeps page artwork intact, while Balanced and Editable priorities add supported native overlays. The compatibility report identifies exactly which objects remain native, substituted, or flattened.

How preservation works

Rescue twice, then move on.

This browser build reads the compound document container locally, then hands supported files to a WebAssembly build of libmspub for SVG proof rendering and drawing callbacks. PDF and PowerPoint packages stay on this device; each object receives a truthful native, substituted, or flattened preservation decision.

  1. 1
    Inspect locally

Validate the container and identify drawing, text, version, and compatibility signals.

  2. 2
    Preserve originals

Extract source images and create a font and compatibility report before conversion.

  3. 3
    Export a package

Pair a PDF proof and scalable SVG with a raster-backed PowerPoint proof, keeping supported text, shapes, paths, images, groups, and tables editable where the report permits.
